View to a kill

Dinner time
As safari guides we're sometimes faced with the harsh reality of life in the African bush. By that I mean the often gruesome scene when predators make a kill.
Witnessing a kill is as real as it gets, and reality is after all what separates the safari experience from that of watching TV documentaries.
We are ever conscious of our guests sensibilities and if those scenes are not appropriate for them, then rest assured that we'll maintain our distance. For others we'll endeavour where feasible to offer a view to a kill.

What is a game drive vehicle?

We're often asked what a game drive vehicle is? Well, I figure the pictures answer that question.
These are specially adapted 4 x 4 vehicles that have rows of seats for our guests, plus a special seat on the front for a tracker to be able to sit forward and read signs along the road to help find animals.
All in all a great way to experience wildlife.

With a little help you can make a difference

On Track Safaris has always supported local rural community schools. Pictured are children from our conservation club with some of the presents donated by On Track Safaris guests.
With a helping hand you can make a real difference
Something as simple as a new pen and some colouring books can make a huge difference.

Overland Botswana - Victoria Falls

New for 2017 our exclusive Overland Safaris are now available. Lead by OTS founder Will Fox, we'll travel from South Africa to Botswana visiting the Okavango Delta.
We'll then move on to the Chobe National Park
Thereafter we move on to the magnificent Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
This trip is for those who enjoy the journey as much as the places we visit.
Exploring Africa at our own pace.
Mixing camping in remote places with time spent in lodges and hotels.
These safaris are available in May 2017 for up to six people.

Conservation Club a great success

Our Saturday morning conservation club at Funjwa orphanage is proving to be a great success. Pictured are just some of the children who are learning about wildlife conservation from the On Track Safaris team.
Our guests often bring pens, colouring books etc as gifts for the children, which is much appreciated.
