Kruger boom means book now for 2018

South African tourism is experiencing a boom especially for safaris taken in the greater Kruger Park area. I think it's fair to say that the secret is out and the main cause of this boom, is the exceptional value and quality of a safari in the Kruger area. Which is great news, however, this does mean that places for safaris in 2018 are filling fast. Our lodges and game reserves maintain strict limits on the number of people, based on sound ecological reasoning i.e. to avoid pressure on their precious eco system.
All of this means that we are already seeing a lot of advance bookings as our guests take up the special discounts we are offering in 2018. Gone are days of last minute bargains. Quiet the opposite, it's now the case that the best deals are found when booking early.
We are already filling our book for safaris in 2018, especially for our special offers, which we will be ending shortly. So if you are thinking of a safari in 2018, grab a bargain now, while our special offers are still available.

Tourism dollars working for conservation

Tourism dollars working for conservation
Before he was tragically killed in 1989, George Adamson famously wrote:
"Who will now care for the animals, for they cannot look after themselves? Are there young men and women who are willing to take on this charge? Who will raise their voices, when mine is carried away on the wind, to plead their case?"
Undoubtedly, the threat to Lions has increased in the intermediary years since George died and (sadly) wild Lion populations across Africa have fallen dramatically, primarily due to habitat loss.
But where there is life there is hope, which is why we are developing fresh wildlife education projects. Not just education for the sake of it but a study into what is the most effective way of offering wildlife conservation education to local communities.

The weak pound against the dollar offers an amazing opportunity to grab a bargain when booking a safari with us, due to the current exchange rates.
This blip in the exchange rates, is unlikely to last long, indeed the trend is already heading upward, but you can still grab a bargain.
