Botswana highlights from this years 4x4 Overland safari

As ever with our safaris wildlife sightings are high on the agenda
We will be running our special Botswana and Vic Falls overland safari again in May 2018. Here are a few highlights from our 2017 trip to whet your appetite.

Our overland route takes us from Johannesburg through Botswana to the Okavango Delta and then North East through the Moremi National Park and Chobe National Parks, before crossing into Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls.
Although we mix and match accommodation styles along the way, including lodges and hotels, the major highlights for our guests is enjoying the freedom to travel by 4 x 4 vehicle to camp in some wild locations. The spacious roof top tents offer a comfortable nights sleep up above any animals that move through our camp at night.

The Okavango Delta is on many peoples bucket list of places to visit and rightfully so. A day on the delta being punted along in a Mokoro is a great way to explore this vast waterway accompanied by local guides.

From the Okavango Delta we head North East on sandy bush tracks, into the Moremi National Park, where we travel to two different camps. Magical days start with a bush breakfast prepared by our guides, then traveling slowly through the reserve, stopping to view the abundant game and bird life along the way. And then at the end of the day, we enjoy dinner around the camp fire reliving the days events.
Continuing North East we enter the Chobe National Park, which is without doubt Elephant central. This year we saw more than five hundred Elephants in the reserve, along with many many other species. Lions re also abundant in this area and its not unusual to find them using the same roads as we do.
Once we reach the Chobe river, we spend a few nights enjoying the area, including a boat trip on the river itself. Viewing game from the water is always a special time, and in this case is enhanced by the area being probably the only place in the world where you will frequently see Elephant swimming as they criss-cross the huge river.
On our final days we cross our second border into Zimbabwe and the world famous Victoria Falls. Another must see for everyone who enjoys nature.

The book is now open for our next special overland safari in May 2018, offering amazing value. CLICK HERE for more information. We have limited places available, so book now to secure your place. I'm already looking forward to leading this trip and enjoying some real safari experiences with you.
