Tangala reopens - Just like old times

View from the lounge
Until it closed its doors in 2014 Tangala safari lodge in the Thornybush game reserve was always a favourite with out safari guests. Many of whom came back year on year just to enjoy the serenity and magical game viewing at Tangala.
We had some great news last week when we heard that Tangala has reopened for business and of-course Carol and I rushed over to meet the new managers.
Carol at Tangala this week - still a magical place
There have been a few upgrades including new accommodation, but that has only enhanced the old place. Established in 1945 this is a true bush lodge, with a homely atmosphere that is exactly what we look for.

And of-course the game viewing in Thornybush game reserve is amongst the best in the world. Just three mins from Tangala we came across this lovely leopard (one of three in the sighting).
Its all about the view
As many of our guest will tell you, the views over the waterhole at Tangala are amazing. It was like returning home for us as we were met with Buffalo wallowing in the mud when we arrived. Just like old times.
